James R. Gagnon is a contemporary American Sculptor, Jeweler, Pewtersmith, and Craftsman. He combines the traditions and worksmanship of the past with the forms, ideas and techniques of today.
His contemporary uninhibited approach to pewtersmithing and individuality of design combine to create uniquely beautiful and functional works of art that are meant to be used and enjoyed.
All of the pewter gollow and flatware in this collection is hand fabricated from flat sheet (textured areas are hand cast), highly polished to a mirror finish and signed by Gagnon himself.
Internationally honored, his pewter has been commissioned by Royalty, chosen as gifts to be given to the White House and sold on Fifth Avenue. An artist above all, Gagnon remains true to his craft, taking his inspiration from the natural beauty of his surroundings in his studio set inside a 19th century factory building.
